Google App Engine
は様々なサードパーティ アプリケーションがホストされている Platform as a Service（PaaS） です。この度、その IP アドレス範囲および、Google App Engine URLFetch や Sockets API が送信するヘッダーに関して変更が加わりましたので、お知らせいたします。
App Engine の IP 範囲を、インバウンド リクエストをフィルタするために利用することは推奨されていません。しかし、特定のアドレスを対象にしたフィルタを利用するサービスがあることは事実です。Google App Engine の IP 範囲は今月から変更されますので、その IP 範囲を特定するためには、

また、個別の App Engine アプリケーションを特定するためにこれまで利用されてきた HTTP
User-Agent ヘッダー 文字列
は、これ以降利用されるべきではありません。新しく導入された
Sockets API
を利用することにより、URLFetch API を利用することなく、 好きな User-Agent を設定した HTTP リクエストを送信することができます。
