type SamSession (v202508)

  • SamSession contains debugging information logged for a Stream Activity Monitor (SAM) session and is updated over the course of the stream.

  • Each SamSession is uniquely identified by a sessionId and indicates if it's a VOD session.

  • The session includes the initial streamCreateRequest, a list of adBreaks, the startDateTime, and the total sessionDurationMillis.

  • For VOD sessions, the contentDurationMillis is also provided for debugging.

The UUID that uniquely identifies this session.

isVodSession

Whether this is a VOD session.

The duration of the session in milliseconds. For live this is calculated by subtracting the timestamp on the oldest log from the timestamp on the newest log. For VOD this is the total duration of the content plus the ads that have been inserted.

contentDurationMillis

The duration of the content in milliseconds. This is for VOD debugging only.
