Supported Entities

  • This document outlines support for Upgraded URLs across various Google Ads entities like Customer, Campaign, AdGroup, Ad, AdGroupCriterion, and FeedItem.

  • Sitelinks utilize FeedItem attributes for Upgraded URLs, and custom parameters can be set via the url_custom_parameters property.

  • While some Upgraded URL changes trigger an editorial review and pause ad serving for entities like AdGroupCriterion, FeedItem, and Ad, others like Customer, Campaign, and AdGroup only affect serving for tracking template and custom parameter changes.

  • If you use a tracking template for specific entities, you must also include a final URL, except for Dynamic Search Ads, Shopping ads, and Shopping product partitions.

Sitelinks support Upgraded URLs using FeedItem attributes. The relevant placeholders can be found in PlaceholderType and SitelinkPlaceholderField.

The FeedItem's url_custom_parameters property lets you set custom parameters.

Changes to Upgraded URL fields may trigger an editorial review, preventing your ads from serving until the review is complete, depending on the entity type:
