Map feature changes

To use cloud-based maps styling on Android, you must use the latest renderer for Maps SDK for Android. Follow these instructions.

The following table shows where to find familiar map features in the new hierarchy. To see the full new hierarchy, see What you can style on a map.

For details about updating legacy styles, see Update a map style to the latest version.

Note: If you created styles in the preview or experimental releases: Google has made a best effort to update preview and experimental map styles to the latest release to accommodate the changes to the hierarchy. You can continue to use these styles; however, you should check the map style to make sure that all of your custom styles still work as expected.
