The following table lists the enumerations for election data-related codes in the ExternalIdentifier entity:

Value	Description
fips	Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) code.
local-level	A code that's specific to a city or other similar locality.
national-level	A code that's used at the national level.
ocd-id	Open Civic Data identifiers.
state-level	A code that's specific to a state.
other	The code is a type that isn't included in this enumeration. If used, provide the item's custom type in an OtherType element.
