Note: This enumeration isn't used with officeholder, pre-election, and election results feed types.

The following table lists the enumerations for the type of committee in the CommitteeClassification entity:

Value	Description
candidate	Candidates for federal or state office
party	Federal party committees; state party committees and state level legislative caucus committees
independent_spender	All federal type independent spenders; and any state committees identified as independent spenders in states that data is provided and collected
pacs	All federal PACs; State level PAC data is not collected by OS, unless the PAC is an independent spender. In that case the PAC would be coded as "Independent Spender"
ballot_measure_committee	State level only. These are committees specifically raising and spending money for statewide ballot measures
