Step 4: Ads


By uploading products to Google Merchant Center, merchants can participate in free listings. Just as Google doesn't charge sites to be part of Google Search organic text results, merchants can have their products appear in organic search results across different Google properties free of charge. However, merchants cannot actively promote their products unless they use paid ad campaigns such as Performance Max. By providing the ability to create a campaign within your platform, you are giving merchants a more frictionless way to drive growth for their businesses.

This guide covers only basic ad features. If you want to provide your merchants with additional ad features, you can find more information on the Google Ads API website. Your merchants can also access advanced features by logging in to the Google Ads platform (without any additional integration work from your side).
