Method: accounts.patch

  • This document explains how to update an existing Google Analytics account using the PATCH HTTP request method.

  • You will need to provide the account.name as a path parameter and updateMask as a query parameter specifying the fields to update.

  • The request body should contain the updated account details in the format of the Account object.

  • A successful request will return the updated Account object in the response body.

  • Authorization is required with the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.edit OAuth scope.

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

string

Output only. Resource name of this account. Format: accounts/{account} Example: "accounts/100"

updateMask

string (FieldMask format)

Required. The list of fields to be updated. Field names must be in snake case (for example, "field_to_update"). Omitted fields will not be updated. To replace the entire entity, use one path with the string "*" to match all fields.

This is a comma-separated list of fully qualified names of fields. Example: "user.displayName,photo".

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Account.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of Account.
