Badges

Badges are non-monetary digital awards that recognize developer achievements, incentivize users, and track the completion of specific tasks.

You can earn badges in a variety of ways including creating an account, completing a learning activity such as a codelab or quiz, or participating in Google Developer communities or events.

As a member of the Google Developer Program, you can display your earned badges on your profile and share them on social media if your profile is public.

Earn badges

The following are examples of how you can earn a badge:

Display badges

Your earned badges are displayed under Badges on your Google Developer Program profile.

You can manage your badges by clicking the three-dot menu at the top right corner of any badge and selecting one of the following:

  • Add to favorites

    You can select up to five of your favorite badges to get highlighted at the top of your profile.

  • Hide badge

    Hidden badges are not displayed on your profile.

  • Delete badge

    The badge is removed from your profile.

Share badges

You can share your earned badges on social media if you have a public profile.

Badge sharing

To share a badge, do the following:

  1. Open your Google Developer Program profile.

  2. Click the badge you want to share.

    The badge opens in a modal dialog.

  3. In the bottom right corner of the badge, click the icon of the social media platform where you want to share your badge.

    The selected social media platform opens in a new window.
