תכונות ושיפורים
ה-API מחזיר עכשיו זמני נסיעה צפויים עם תנועה למועדים עתידיים, על סמך ממוצעים היסטוריים. בעבר, ממשק ה-API החזיר זמני נסיעה בפקקים רק לזמנים שהיו קרובים מאוד לזמן הנוכחי. כדי לקבל זמני נסיעה צפויים עם תנועה, צריך לציין שעת יציאה 'עכשיו' או זמן כלשהו בעתיד, עם צורת נסיעה 'רכב'. אפשר גם לציין מודל תנועה אופטימי, פסימי או אומדן (ברירת המחדל) כדי להשפיע על ההנחות שבהן נעשה שימוש במהלך חישוב זמן הנסיעה. לפרטים נוספים, אפשר לעיין במדריך למפתחים.
לקוחות עם מינוי Standard יכולים עכשיו לגשת לכל התכונות של Directions API (מדור קודם) שהיו זמינות בעבר רק ללקוחות עם מינוי Premium בפלטפורמת מפות Google: מסלולים אופטימליים וזמני נסיעה במצב תנועה, ומספר מוגדל של נקודות דרך – עד 23, בהשוואה למגבלה הקודמת של 8 נקודות דרך.
