Reserve with Google enables your Production environment for development after your Sandbox review is complete and all reported issues are resolved.
You can find your Production SFTP username in the Partner Portal.
In Production implementation, your goal is to deploy your tested Sandbox infrastructure to your Production environment. The Actions Center monitors your Production environment to verify that it meets all the same requirements as your Sandbox environment through the End-to-End Onboarding Plan located in the Home tab of the Actions Center.
When you implement your Feeds, Booking Server, and Real-Time Updates (RTUs) in Production, make sure to incorporate any lessons learned during your Sandbox development.
Production milestones
After you clear each milestone task, keep the following in mind:
- You must include your full inventory in all Feed uploads. This makes sure that you can self-test and validate all business logic required by your platform.
- In this phase your Booking Servers must be connected to your live inventory. Be careful when you book against actual inventory.
- Booking Server errors can take your integration offline. Monitor the Booking Server dashboard to resolve any reported issues.
- Booking Server timeout errors are significant, so verify that your response times are within documented thresholds. If you timeout issues with minimal inventory, your integration might not scale.
Feeds Ready in Production
Feeds provide Google with the latest mapping of your integration inventory. They specify the merchants you support, their availability, and any special features required to verify that inventory is properly displayed by Google.
For more information on Feeds, see Feeds Ready.
Booking Server Ready in Production
The Booking Server API provides real-time communication between the Actions Center and your Dining reservations infrastructure over REST. You can use API to manage the entire booking lifecycle and also provide immediate inventory updates when inventory is impacted outside of the Actions Center.
Also, enable your Availability Checker tool (1 qps) by navigating to the Account management page in your Actions Center and clicking the check mark next to Enable availability checker.
For more information on Booking Server, see Booking Server Ready.
RTUs Ready in Production
RTUs notify Google about the changes in your inventory in the case of new bookings, cancellations, and schedule changes from your merchants.
For more information on RTUs, see Real-Time Updates Ready.
