Generate images with Nano Banana (Experimental)

Use Nano Banana's image generation capabilities in Google Earth on web to generate custom images using satellite, aerial, and 3D imagery. Describe what you want to see and refine as you go.

Create images

1. Open an existing project or create a new one in Google Earth on web.
2. In the toolbar, click Create image. This will capture your current map view to be used as the base image input for generation.
3. In the box, describe the changes you want to visualize. Be as specific or creative as you like. For example:
   • "Visualize this empty lot as a community park with a playground and walking trails."
   • "Show this street with more trees and dedicated bike lanes."
   • "Render this hillside with a small solar farm installation."
   • "Imagine this downtown area with futuristic buildings."
4. After entering your prompt, click to start the image generation process. This may take a few moments to complete.

View and refine results

1. Once generated, the new image will be displayed, showing your prompted changes.
   • Use the forward / back options within the generation session to see before and after changes.
2. To refine the result, click Refine image and add a new text prompt to update the image.
3. To keep your generated image, click Save to Project. This will add the image as a media attachment to a placemark within your Google Earth map project. This will be accessible in the "Map contents" section of the left hand panel. The camera view at the time of saving will also be stored with the feature so you can return to the same angle later.

Important notes

• Base imagery: Image generation utilizes Google Earth's overhead imagery only.
• Saving: Generated images can only be saved within your Google Earth projects.
• No exporting: Direct download or sharing of the generated images outside of Google Earth is not supported.
• Watermarking: All generated images include a visible watermark to distinguish them from standard map imagery, in addition to invisible watermarking.
