  • Playables content must not be specifically made for kids and must be suitable for a general audience aged 13 and older.

  • Playables must comply with the YouTube Developer Terms of Service governing the use of YouTube's APIs.

  • All Playables content must have fully cleared third-party intellectual property, trademark, music, and personality rights.

  • The content must be reviewed in the English version of the requirement pages for definitive guidance.

1 Game content and audience

These requirements pertain to the safety and appropriateness of the content.

1.1 Community guidelines

  • Playables content MUST NOT specifically target kids, or be "made for kids" or "just for kids". Refer to Determine if your content is "made for kids".
  • Playables content MUST be suitable for the general audience (Age 13+).

2 Rights and clearances

These requirements pertain to content ownership and rights.

2.1 YouTube Developer Terms of Service

  • Playables MUST comply with the YouTube Developer Terms of Service which govern the use of YouTube's APIs.

2.2 Intellectual property

  • Playables uploaded by content owners MUST have fully cleared third-party intellectual property rights.
  • The content MUST be cleared with the intellectual property rights and MUST NOT violate any trademark or music rights.

2.3 Third-party trademarks

  • Playables MUST NOT infringe on any third-party trademark or trade dress rights.

2.4 Music rights

  • Playables MUST have all necessary music rights in place for distribution.

2.5 Personality rights

  • Playables MUST have all necessary personality rights secured for distribution (name, likeness, etc.).
