In some cases, the evidence provided during the original proofing request may
not be sufficient to confirm the identity of the user. In these cases,
a challenge can be submitted to the user to provide additional information
before an approval status is determined.
Issuers have a few options for how to challenge the user.
Option 1: Additional Time Required Issuer needs more time to review the evidence.
Option 2: Verification Letter User should follow the instructions in the letter sent by the issuer.
Option 3: Website Challenge User should complete a challenge on the Issuer's website.
After the user takes the appropriate action, they will receive a notification
when their VDC is approved, and instructions
on how to present their VDC to relying parties.
