How do I set up a new Checks account?
Sign in to Checks using your Google Account. Have your Google Play app ID or iOS Bundle ID ready. We'll walk you through a few questions and then verify your access. Once verified Checks can begin analyzing your apps.
How do I authorize a new Checks account?
Sign in with a Google Account that has administrator access in the Play Console to authorize your Checks account. If you don't have administrator access in the Play Console you'll be prompted to invite someone on your team who does have access. How do I add a new user to my Checks account?
To add, change, or delete a user to your Checks account, go to Manage Users within the settings sections of Checks.

How frequently are new reports generated?
Reports are automatically generated once weekly. You can request a new report by clicking Run new analysis on the Issues or Data monitoring pages.
What platforms does Checks support?
Checks supports both Android and iOS apps. Checks doesn't support web apps.
What privacy policy languages does Checks support?
Checks only supports English privacy policies.
What privacy regulations and policies does Checks cover?
Checks includes insights related to regulations in the European Union, Canada, China, United States, Korea, South Africa, Japan, India and Brazil and Google Play Store Developer Policies.
How often are new regulations added to Checks?
New regulations are added on an ongoing basis.
What happens if Checks identifies that an app might be in violation of a privacy regulation or app store policy?
Checks does not provide legal advice or conclusions regarding your app or privacy practices. We are dedicated to providing you with the tools you need to make privacy compliance simpler, faster, and less expensive. Any potential issues Checks identifies and any recommendations Checks makes are only shared with the designated users in your account.
Does Checks share my reports and analysis with the Google Play team?
No.
How does Checks use my data?
Checks only analyzes the publicly available version of your app or the uploaded version of your app. Checks does not collect or store any of the app's user's data. You can find more detail about our data use policies in the privacy section of the Checks Terms of Service.
How does Checks define Personal Information for purposes of its checks?
Laws, regulations, and platform policies generally define Personal Information as information that identifies, relates to, or can be linked to an identifiable person. In the Checks product, we consider the following data as Personal Information:
- Name
- Date and place of birth
- Home address
- Contact information (e.g., email address, phone number)
- State ID card number
- Passport number
- Military identification number
- Online identifiers (e.g., cookie ID, ad ID, device identifier, and unique pseudonym)
- Biometric information (e.g., fingerprint, voiceprint, retina scan)
- Note that if processed for the purpose of identifying an individual, this may be sensitive personal information
- Criminal history information
- Financial account or credit/debit card information
How does Checks define Sensitive Personal Information for purposes of its checks?
Laws, regulations, and platform policies often include additional requirements concerning the processing of sensitive personal information (e.g., consent or processing limitations). Sensitive Personal Information is often, but not always, information that could be used to discriminate against a person. It may also include data which, if it fell into the wrong hands, could have a significant financial or legal impact on an individual (e.g., financial account login credentials). In the Checks product, we consider the following data as Sensitive Personal Information:
- Social Security Number
- Race or ethnic origin
- Genetic information
- Information regarding religious beliefs
- Information regarding an individual's sex life or sexual orientation
- Precise geolocation
- Financial account login credentials
- Disability status
- Biometric information (e.g., fingerprint, voiceprint, retina scan)
- Note that information processed for the purpose of identifying an individual may be considered sensitive.
How does Checks define Health Information for purposes of its checks?
Health Information is often considered Sensitive Personal Information and there are a number of data elements that are regularly understood to comprise Health Information. Certain data elements (e.g., common identifiers, like names) may be treated as Health Information when they can be associated with information regarding medical history, treatment by healthcare providers, or payment for treatment. In the Checks product, we consider the following data as Health Information:
- Medical record or medical record number (e.g., information relating to medical treatments, diagnoses, or past visits)
- Health insurance policy number or subscriber identification number
- Health insurance information (e.g., policy number) and claims history
- Medical history
- Information relating to an individual's mental or physical condition
- Information relating to medical treatment or diagnosis by a healthcare professional
- Genetic information

Billing
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Cartes Bancaires, and JCB. We also accept Bank Redirects through Sofort, and Bank Debits through SEPA Direct Debit and pre-authorized debit (PAD) in Canada. Google Pay may also be used to make payments. For monthly plans over $5,000 we can invoice you. Invoices can be paid by check, wire, or ACH.
Do I have to sign a long term contract?
No. There is no long term commitment to use Checks. You can change or cancel your subscription at any time.
