«برنماهای هوشمند» واحدهای آگهی‌ای هستند که آگهی‌های برنمای هم‌عرض صفحه‌نمایش را در هر اندازه صفحه‌نمایش در دستگاه‌های مختلف در هر دو جهت نمایش می‌دهند. «برنماهای هوشمند» پهنای دستگاه را در جهت فعلی آن تشخیص می‌دهند و نمای آگهی را در آن اندازه ایجاد می‌کنند.
«برنماهای هوشمند» در iPhone در حالت عمودی ۵۰ نقطه و در حالت افقی ۳۲ نقطه ارتفاع دارند. در iPad، ارتفاع در هر دو حالت عمودی و افقی ۹۰ نقطه است.
وقتی آگهی تصویری به‌اندازه کافی بزرگ نباشد که کل فضای اختصاص‌داده‌شده را پر کند، تصویر در مرکز قرار می‌گیرد و فضای دو طرف آن پر می‌شود.
برای استفاده از «برنماهای هوشمند»، کافی است kGADAdSizeSmartBannerPortrait
(برای جهت عمودی) یا kGADAdSizeSmartBannerLandscape (برای جهت
افقی) را برای اندازه آگهی مشخص کنید:
