Serve users with Limited Ads

  • As of January 14, 2021, the IMA iOS SDK can serve limited ads when users don't consent to cookies or a valid Transparency and Consent String (TC string) isn't received in GDPR and ePrivacy regions.

  • For Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) SDKs, publishers need to set the ltd parameter using IMAStreamRequest.adTagParameters().

  • Limited ads can also be automatically enabled by integrating with a Consent Management Platform (CMP) starting with iOS SDK version 3.11.1 and later.

Select platform: HTML5 Android iOS

As of January 14th 2021, the IMA iOS SDK allows limited ads to be served when the user does not give consent to cookies, the user denies consent to cookies, or when IMA does not receive a valid TC string in GDPR and ePrivacy regions following the grace period of IAB TCFv2 integration.

For DAI SDKs you must set the ltd parameter using IMAStreamRequest.adTagParameters() . Please see this Limited ads guide for more information.

It is also possible to enable limited ads automatically through integrating with a Consent Management Platform (CMP). This is supported on version 3.11.1 of the iOS SDK and all later versions.
