Google is continuing AR development with ARCore, a new platform designed for building augmented reality apps for a broad range of devices without the requirement for specialized hardware.

In addition to working with our OEM partners on new devices, Google is also working closely with Asus, as one of our early Tango partners, to ensure that ZenFone AR will work with ARCore. We'll be back with more information soon on how existing and new ZenFone AR users will get access to ARCore apps.

Tango Tablet Development Kit Safety and Regulatory Information

Temperature. Use the device only in environments where the ambient temperature is between 0°C (32°F) and 35°C (95°F). The device may get very warm while using or charging. If this occurs, avoid prolonged contact with the device and allow it to cool down by closing applications, unplugging the charger, moving to a cooler environment, and/or turning off the device.

Proper handling and usage. If the device is not handled properly, there is a risk of explosion, fire and burns. Do not puncture, incinerate, deform, bend, modify, attempt to insert foreign objects into the device, short the contacts, disassemble, or expose the device to water or high temperatures above 60° C (140° F). Your device is intended for use with the USB charging unit and Micro USB cable that come with your development kit. Using a different charging unit or cable may damage your device and may create a risk of fire, explosion, leakage or other hazard.

Avoid placing any media that contains magnets or is sensitive to magnetism, such as credit cards, bank cards, audio/video tapes, or magnetic memory devices, near your device. Media containing information sensitive to magnets should be kept at least 5 cm away from the tablet. Your device can interfere with the functionality of pacemakers. Always keep your tablet at least 5 cm away from your pacemaker.

Radio Frequency. This device meets the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) requirements for exposure to radio waves and is designed and manufactured not to exceed the FCC's emission limits for exposure to radiofrequency (RF) energy. The exposure standard for wireless devices employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg.

LED Radiation Notice. CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure. Please follow all instructions for safe operation and maintenance.

Built-in rechargeable battery notice

DANGER: Do not attempt to replace the internal rechargeable lithium ion battery. The battery should only be replaced by independently qualified professionals.

CAUTION: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. When replacing the lithium battery, use only the same or an equivalent type that is recommended by the manufacturer. The battery contains lithium and can explode if not properly used, handled, or disposed of. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

High-volume notice. Permanent hearing loss may occur if earphones or headphones are used at high volume for prolonged periods of time. To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

Manufacturer. The Tango device was designed by Google, Inc. of 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, and assembled in China.
