As 2023 winds down, it has been exciting to witness the incredible momentum AI has made this year.
|

This year alone, we didn’t just unveil groundbreaking models, we built tools to help when you need it most. Starting with AI-powered assistants across developer tools like
Duet AI for Developers
,
Android Studio Bot
,
Colab
and
Project IDX
. These tools help provide real-time code suggestions, find relevant resources, and save you development time.

Now with the introduction of Gemini Pro and Google AI Studio, you can build for your own use cases and integrate directly into your apps. Gemini Pro comes with a 32k context window, function calling, embeddings, semantic retrieval, custom knowledge grounding and chat functionality. It accepts text as input and generates text as output in 38 languages. We've also released a dedicated Gemini Pro Vision multimodal endpoint which accepts text and imagery as input, with text output.

Google AI Studio
.

With Google AI Studio, you also have access to a free web-based developer tool that enables you to quickly develop prompts and transfer your work to your IDE of choice. And with Vertex AI, you can customize Gemini Pro with full data control and additional Google Cloud features.
|
|
In addition to these powerful tools, we also released Gemini Nano, our smallest model optimized for on-device use, starting with Pixel 8 Pro so you can build features that leverage Gemini even when offline. Early next year, we will also introduce Gemini Ultra, our largest and most capable model for highly complex tasks to developers, and more platforms like Chrome and Firebase.
