Android / Google Play

Firebase / Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Learn what’s going on with Firebase at the “ What’s new in Firebase ” session at I/O. This talk (along with all of the other Firebase sessions ) will be recorded and posted on the Firebase  YouTube channel after the event!
  • At GDC, we launched Google Play Games Services support in Firebase Authentication and desktop support for C++ and Unity development! Read more here .
  • On April 10, 2018, Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) was officially turned down and replaced with Firebase Cloud Messaging. Upgrade soon to take advantage of new features in FCM.

Web

  • Join the AMP team at an AMP Roadshow in your region! It’s visiting 20 more cities in 2018, and planned stops in the coming months are open for registration. 
  • Is your agency building high quality progressive web apps? If so, apply to have it considered for the new Web Agency Directory which features agencies who have demonstrated competency in building great mobile experiences. You should also consider joining the Google Developers Agency Program which offers dedicated training and access to Google’s latest products and APIs.

  • Catch up with all the sessions from the TensorFlow Dev Summit which took place last month.
  • Write your first Flutter app! This new codelab builds an app that features a stateful widget, an infinite scrolling list, and the ability to navigate to a second screen.
  • Announcing Dart 2.0 , a reboot of the language to make it uniquely optimized for client-side development for web and mobile.
  • Launchpad Accelerator is expanding to offer tailored regional initiatives in Lagos, Nigeria; São Paulo, Brazil: and Tel Aviv, Israel. Launchpad recently hosted the third Launchpad Female Founders Summit at the Google San Francisco Campus. Stay up-to-date with upcoming Launchpad events .
