This section describes details specific to India pricing charges and eligibility. For charges by SKU, see the India price list.
Eligibility
You are eligible for India pricing if your account has billing and a large majority of usage in India. Select the appropriate billing country when creating your billing account in the Google Cloud Console. Google monitors eligibility and may disqualify non-eligible customers from this pricing.
Indian rupees
If you are a Google Maps Platform customer based in India, you can now be charged and pay your bill in INR. You can use the same billing account for Google Maps Platform and Google Cloud usage. This means the following:
- New India-based customers are charged and must pay their bill in INR.
- India-based customers who are charged in USD can choose to be charged in INR or continue to be charged in USD with their existing account. To be charged and pay your bill in INR, follow the account migration steps referenced in the account migration FAQ.
Conversion to INR
When Google charges in a local, non-USD currency, Google converts Google Maps Platform prices from USD into the applicable local currency pursuant to the conversion rates published by leading financial institutions. More information is available in this Cloud billing guide.
