GDG DevFest Season 2018

Aug 1 - Nov 30, Global

GDG DevFests are large, community-run developer events happening around the globe focused on community building and learning about Google’s technologies.

DevFest events cover multiple product areas such as Android, Firebase, Google Cloud Platform, Google Assistant, Flutter, machine learning with TensorFlow, and Mobile Web.

As an attendee, you can expect speaker sessions, hackathons, codelabs, study jams, training sessions, and more.

Get Involved

Attend a DevFest

Each DevFest is inspired by and uniquely tailored to the needs of the developer community that hosts it.

While no two events will be exactly alike, each event will, at its core, be powered by a shared belief that when developers come together to exchange ideas, amazing things can happen.

Connect on Social Media

We want to hear from you about your experience at your local DevFest! Post to social media using #DevFest18 or #DevFestStories. Tell us what you’ve learned and what you plan to do next!

All active GDG chapters are invited to host their own DevFest event for their community.

Collaboration with other local GDGs or other developer communities is also encouraged!

Minimum requirements of a DevFest event:

  • Duration of the event: Should last at least 5 hours.
  • Sessions: Recommended to have more than one track.
  • Hackathons: Should last between 12-48 hours.
  • Codelabs: Should reference the Google Developers Codelabs catalog or other provided content.
