בדרך כלל יהיו שלוש גרסאות נתמכות של קובצי נתונים מובְנים (SDF) בכל זמן נתון. כשגרסה חדשה מושקת, תאריך הוצאה משימוש מודיע על הגרסה הקודמת. גרסה נחשבת ללא תמיכה אחרי שמתפרסם תאריך הסגירה שלה.
תקופת ההוצאה משימוש המינימלית לרוב הגרסאות תהיה 6 חודשים. הגרסאות הקודמות יישארו זמינות עד לתאריך ההוצאה משימוש המתוזמן, אבל מומלץ למשתמשים להשתמש בתקופת ההוצאה משימוש כדי לעבור לגרסה חדשה יותר. אחרי תאריך הסגירה, הגרסאות הקודמות לא יהיו זמינות יותר.
