Actions for Families Addendum

By opting into the Actions for Families program, You consent to be bound by these terms in addition to the existing Actions on Google Terms of Service and Actions on Google Policies (the "Agreement"). If there is a conflict between these terms and the Agreement, these terms govern. Capitalized terms used below but not defined below have the meaning ascribed to them under the Agreement.

  1. Participation.

    Your eligibility and participation in the Actions for Families program provides you with the ability to promote your Action that targets children as its primary audience or as one of its audiences. As part of this program, you are responsible for maintaining compliance with the Actions for Families Program Requirements.

    The word “child” can mean different things in different locales and in different contexts. It is important that you consult with your legal counsel to help determine what obligations and restrictions may apply to your Action.

  2. For Families Badge.

    By opting into Actions for Families, you confirm that your Action in its entirety is appropriate for children, that your Action will not collect or solicit any personally identifiable data from users and that your Action should be badged as "For Families" in the Assistant Directory.

  3. Legal Compliance.

    You represent that Actions submitted to the Actions for Families program, including any APIs or SDKs that your Action calls or uses, are compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and any other applicable laws or regulations. You must maintain a user-facing privacy policy. You must also provide clear disclosures on what data your Action collects from users and how that data is used.

  4. Approval and Public Availability.

    By submitting an Action to the Actions for Families program, your Action will be subject to review by Google in accordance with this Agreement, and the determination of such review is in Google's sole discretion.

  5. Suspension or Termination.

    Your failure to maintain your organization's eligibility for the program or to comply with the Actions for Families Program Requirements may result in the immediate suspension or removal of your Action(s) from the Actions for Families Program and in some circumstances may result in removal of your Action(s) from the Assistant Directory. If you or your organization lose your eligibility to participate in the Actions for Families program, your Action will not be approved for release on the platform if it targets children as their primary audience or as one of their audiences.
