Prerequisites

Access to Widevine (code, libraries and documentation) is managed via access control lists, linked to your registered email address.

1. Simply submitting your email address is not sufficient to grant access.
2. Please register a Google Account according to the instructions below.

Note: Access will only be granted to corporate email accounts.

Creating a Google Account

1. If you do not have a Google account yet:

   1. Go to https://accounts.google.com/signupwithoutgmail

   2. Sign-up with a corporate (company) email account.

      1. Enter your corporate email as "Your current email". Do NOT click "I would like a new Gmail address".

2. Click Next steps.

3. Click Verify by signing in...

4. Sign in to your corporate email account.

5. Click Continue.

Warning: If you have already linked your Google account with a @gmail.com address, you need to remove the Gmail account first. Sign in with your corporate email and go to Remove addresses from your account and remove alternate email addresses (your corporate email address). After removing the association of your corporate email address from your non-corporate email address, you may register your corporate email address as a Google Account.

Set up Git access

1. Visit https://googlesource.com/new-password
2. Log in with your Google account.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up cookie authentication on your workstation.
