You can get a route matrix for different types of vehicles. If you don't specify
a vehicle type, the Routes API uses the default of DRIVE.
Vehicle type
Description
Travel mode
Set the mode of travel. You can choose driving, two-wheeled
vehicles, transit, or walking. Bicycling is not supported for route
matrixes.
Note: Two-wheeled, walking, and
bicycling routes are in beta and might sometimes be missing clear
sidewalks, pedestrian paths, or bicycling paths. You must display this
warning to the user for all two-wheel, walking, or bicycling routes that
you display in your app.
Two-wheeled vehicle
You specify a route matrix for a two-wheeled motorized vehicle the
same way you specify it for a route, using the Travel_mode
parameter.
Transit
Get a transit route matrix that uses the public
transportation options available in the region. Transit options may
include buses, subways, and trains, among others.
