Start a free trial to use Professional or Professional Advanced

In Google Earth, features requiring an upgrade to Professional or Professional Advanced are indicated by a lock icon. Upgrading your Earth plan requires a Google Cloud project and billing account.

To complete your Free Trial signup, you must provide a credit card or other payment method, which is used to set up a Free Trial Cloud Billing account and verify your identity. After you initiate the Free Trial, Google uses the information you provided at signup to create a limited Google Cloud account called a Free trial account. Google won't charge you while your Cloud Billing account has Free trial account status.

When you complete the Free Trial signup, the 90-day, $300 Free Trial period starts automatically. The Free Trial period can't be paused or extended.

Throughout your Free Trial period, your remaining credits and days are displayed on the Billing Account Overview page in the Google Cloud console.

You are not billed during your Free Trial and you will be notified 30 days before charges begin. When the Free Trial ends, all resources you created during the trial are stopped, and you won't be charged, unless you activate a full, paid Cloud Billing account.

Plan changes and feature access

Changes to your Google Earth plan will affect data layers and designs in your project.

Plan canceled or downgraded

If your upgraded plan is canceled or you downgrade to a different plan:

  • You will no longer be able to add premium data layers from your previous plan to a Google Earth project.
  • Any projects containing premium data layers from your previous plan will no longer visualize the data on the map within the project. This also includes projects that may have been shared with others. A message will indicate they are unavailable, with prompts to upgrade your plan to regain access.
  • You will still be able to view and share building or solar designs created in projects from your previous plan.

Plan renewed

If you renew a canceled plan:

  • Premium data layers will become usable again and you will be able to generate more building and solar designs.
  • Links to premium data layers in your projects will be re-established automatically and the layers will visualize on the map again.
