The
Publisher Privacy Treatment
(PPT) API is an optional tool that lets publishers indicate whether to turn off
ads personalization for an ad request.
By default, ad requests to Google are served personalized ads. To turn off ads
personalization for an ad request, append &ppt=1 to your ad tag parameters, as
shown in the following example:
[[["Easy to understand","easyToUnderstand","thumb-up"],["Solved my problem","solvedMyProblem","thumb-up"],["Other","otherUp","thumb-up"]],[["Missing the information I need","missingTheInformationINeed","thumb-down"],["Too complicated / too many steps","tooComplicatedTooManySteps","thumb-down"],["Out of date","outOfDate","thumb-down"],["Samples / code issue","samplesCodeIssue","thumb-down"],["Other","otherDown","thumb-down"]],["Last updated 2025-08-01 UTC."],[[["
The Publisher Privacy Treatment (PPT) API allows publishers to disable personalized ads for specific ad requests.

"],["
To turn off ad personalization, add
&ppt=1
to your ad tag's parameters.

"],["
In cases of multiple user privacy signals, the most restrictive signal will be prioritized.

"]]],[],null,["# Disable personalized ads with PPT

The
[Publisher Privacy Treatment](//support.google.com/admanager/answer/14323214)
(PPT) API is an optional tool that lets publishers indicate whether to turn off
ads personalization for an ad request.

By default, ad requests to Google are served personalized ads.
