Biography

Jarom is an associate research professor and Director of the Office of Digital Humanities at BYU. His research interests and skills include streaming media (and media studies in general); web application development; linked open data; and American Literature – a field in which he holds a Ph.D.

Most of his development time is spent on client-side multimedia apps, but he also frequently works with data modelling and text analysis of literature, media, and culture. His goal is to bridge the gap between the worlds of the humanities and web development.

Jarom is a family man, an avid baseball fan, and supporter of the Orioles and Nats.
