Biography
Shery Sheng comes from Shanghai and works for Google Nest in Shanghai site. She graduated from Shanghai Ocean University with a bachelor degree in computer science and technology. As a senior student she did her first internship in Microsoft as a full-stack website developer and joined Dell-EMC as an automation software developer after graduation. After two years' experiences in EMC she decided to chasing some new chances for her life, then she applied for post graduate courses abord and got offers from University of Birmingham, Glasgow, University of Leeds' etc. Just during that period she got Goolge's invite to join Nest as a factory software developer. Google is her dreaming company and she quit the chance to study abord. Now she has been in Google Nest for more than two years and participated in three launched products which are Nest WiFi, Nest Audio and Nest mini. Her passion in programming was originally coming from Lego robots when she got the second prize in RoboCup Junior Shanghai site in the senior high school. And she also worked hard in her colleague and got one patent and one software copyright when she was a junior student. Besides of coding, she also enjoys baking and boxing in her daily life. She does boxing exercise two times one week and makes birthday cakes for family and friends.
