Biography

Alice earned her PhD in distributed systems from ENS Lyon in France. In 2005 she joined Google in New York as a software engineer. She first worked on Google Maps, Google Websearch and in 2010 became a founding member of the Google Crisis Response team developing technology to help people impacted by natural disasters. Through her 12 years at Google, Alice held roles as an Individual Contributor, Tech Lead, and Engineering Manager - an experience where she learned the best practices of design, coding and testing. She now coaches mission-driven startups around the world with the goal of helping them build their engineering culture and foster best practices in their tech teams in terms of design, coding, and teamwork. When mentoring, Alice loves to challenge people to help them focus their goals on what matters to them, define metrics to make sure to stay on track, and anticipate potential technical or engineering roadblocks. She can do mentoring sessions in English or in French. When she is not coaching or mentoring, you'll find Alice traveling and discovering new cities or countries: either through hiking, running, or on a bicycle.
