The Google Analytics Google+ page has an active community with millions of followers and thousands of views per day. Google+ is a great way to promote an app or solution you have that would be useful to Google Analytics end users in the community.
Google+ posts are usually very short, but are an effective way of getting noticed. It’s the best medium for a lightweight solution or a smaller tool with a niche purpose or audience. For an example of typical Google+ post, take a look at this post about to use Universal Analytics to track your SoundCloud page. The Google Analytics blog
The Google Analytics blog is the place to feature content that’s more in-depth. There’s space to explore a use case or explain a solution. A good blog post will be similar to a case study, except the featured solution can either be less impactful or be intended for broad promotion to users outside your organization. It’s also a way to feature multi-media - if you have a high-quality video or info-graphic you’d like to promote, this is the space for you!
Here are some examples of previous blog posts that feature Google Analytics developers:
- Optimize your website with SiteApps and Google Analytics
- Pull Analytics Data Into Tableau With New Connector
Case studies are a great way to deep-dive into how your solution using Google Analytics technologies resulted in positive impact on your own or a client's business. If you’ve pushed the boundaries of what you can do with the platform, your story might make a good case study.
Case studies are the longest and most impactful of our promotions. Stories that might make good case studies should be about end-to-end solutions for a specific business case or technical environment, that can also be generalized so the audience can see what’s possible and be inspired to find or create their own solution.
Take a look at these examples to see what’s involved:
- Certain Affinity: A game development company used Google Analytics to make important pre- and postrelease design decisions for their first mobile offering.
- Twiddy: A vacation property rental firm created a sense of urgency in the booking experience by leverage insights from Google Analytics.
