Google is working on a program to train 100,000 mobile developers in Indonesia. By unveiling multiple initiatives across training partners and universities, Google is looking to make world-class Android Developer education accessible to all students and developers across Indonesia.
Google is creating a new classroom-based training course to teach Android development skills to students at universities in Indonesia. The reference course, which will be available under Creative Commons license, will be available in both Bahasa Indonesia as well as English.
This course is designed for computer science students, and guides students through building apps as they develop the skills needed to get an entry-level job as an Android developer. After completing the course and building the apps in the course, students should be ready to take the exam for the Associate Android Developer Certification.
This course curriculum will be made available through universities and training institutes as an in-person training module later in 2016.
We are also working with the following organizations to introduce the course for university students in the next academic calendar year, with more universities coming soon.
- Institut Teknologi Bandung
- Universitas Gadjah Mada
- Universitas Bina Nusantara
- Universitas Katolik Parahyangan
- President University
- Institut Teknologi Harapan Bangsa
- Universitas Telkom
- Maranatha Christian University
Google and Udacity teamed up to create a series of courses to help you learn Android development. Work through these courses on your own time at your own pace. Take individual courses for free, or enroll in a nanodegree to get help and guidance while you learn to create a suite of applications.
Select courses will be available in Bahasa Indonesia.
