Advanced API controls

Tenor provides extended access to a number of features that let a partner have more granular controls to create a GIF experience that best fits their users. Extended access does require development partner by partner. The best candidates are partners with a sizable install base, such as those with tens of millions of daily active users (DAU) or more.

The following are some examples of extended access features:

  • Flagging: The ability for a partner to flag a particular GIF, which notifies Tenor and removes the GIF from the partner's library until it's investigated.
  • Graylist: Provides access to a list of search terms that can be blocked. This functions independently of contentfilter.
  • Tagging: Provides access to richer metadata for each GIF.
  • Regional filters: Provides the capability to limit certain content based on a particular locale or locales.
