Project description
Within the scope of this Google Season of Docs project, I aim to create a teacher-focused startup guide and a series of eight scalable lessons designed for lower- to middle-grades mathematics, science, and technology classrooms. These scalable lessons, which would include topics like geometry, engineering design, and introductions to different fields of technologies (manufacturing and construction technologies, for example,) would be designed in line with the Standards for Technological Literacy (STLs) set forth by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA.) This affiliation with ITEEA, an international organization, is designed to increase the lessons’ international adoption. The lessons would also be designed in a modular fashion, so that future contributors are able to build and maintain standard lesson plans more easily.
