GSoC Markdown Support

A limited amount of Markdown can be used in some fields. These fields are marked as "May include limited Markdown." in the field's help text.

The following standard markdown functionality is supported:

• Paragraphs and Line Breaks
• Headers All levels are rendered the same.
• Lists
• Code Blocks
• Links
• Emphasis
• Code
• Automatic Links

These features are NOT supported:

• Images
• Blockquotes
• Horizontal Rules
• Inline HTML

In Markdown fields, character limits are computed on the rendered output. This means that the Markdown markup doesn't reduce the space you have for content.
