Air Quality API Usage and Billing

  • The Air Quality API utilizes a pay-as-you-go pricing model, charging based on usage per request, with varying rates depending on volume.

  • To use the API, you need to enable billing for your Google Cloud project and include an API key with each request.

  • While usage is generally unlimited, there's a query rate limit of 6,000 requests per minute for each API method.

  • You can manage your costs by setting daily usage quota limits in the Google Cloud console.

  • A $200 monthly credit is applicable for qualifying Google Maps Platform SKUs until February 28, 2025, after which it will be replaced by a free usage threshold.
