The Google Ad Manager Privacy & messaging tool lets you comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), US State regulations, and recover lost revenue from ad blocking users.

Add the Privacy & messaging message to your site
IMA SDK for HTML5 automatically integrates with Privacy & messaging and Google Publisher Tags (GPT) after you create one or more site messages. For information about copying your ad blocking recovery messages to your site, see Ad blocking recovery messages. To create your Privacy & messaging message(s), do the following:
- In the Ad Manager UI, go to Privacy & messaging.
- Select your preferred option:
- European regulations
- US state regulations
- Ad blocking recovery
- Select Create message > Sites.
- Create your site-specific consent or ad blocking recovery message.
- Click Publish.
If successful, IMA SDK for HTML5 automatically serves the messages to your site, when GDPR and US state privacy laws require these messages. For more details, see About Privacy & messaging.
