Terms of service and disclaimers

WeatherNext is an automated, experimental AI forecasting system under active research. Predictions and model outputs are provided "as-is" for informational and research purposes and do not constitute official weather forecasts, watches, or warnings. Users are responsible for their use of the data and model outputs. For the protection of life and property, never rely on WeatherNext as a sole source of information and always defer to official alerts and advisories from your local emergency authorities and national meteorological services.

By accessing this platform, querying forecast datasets, or deploying WeatherNext models, you agree to the applicable terms of service below.

Data licensing and terms of use

When real-time data relates to a time 1 hour ago or more, the license automatically transitions to CC BY 4.0.

Model usage and managed inference

Use of WeatherNext models deployed on Google Cloud (such as WeatherNext 2 on Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform) is governed by the Google Cloud Terms of Service. Customers and end users must not:

  • Use WeatherNext models or generated forecasts to develop a similar or competing product or service.
  • Use outputs to substitute, replace, or circumvent the models.
  • Reverse engineer or extract any model components.

Pretrained open source model weights and code (WeatherNext 2, WeatherNext Gen, and WeatherNext Graph) are licensed under Apache 2.0 (code) and CC BY 4.0 (non-code assets) as described on the Open source models page.
