The Gemini Notebook API is free to use during the Public Preview period, subject to the following request rate limits and account capacity quotas.
Request rate limits
Rate limits are enforced both per Google Cloud project and per authenticated Google user:

When a rate limit is exceeded, the API returns HTTP 429 Too Many Requests
(RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED). Retry failed requests using exponential backoff with
jitter.
