Proba-V es una misión satelital encargada de cartografiar la cobertura terrestre y el crecimiento de la vegetación. Se diseñó para proporcionar continuidad al instrumento óptico VGT de las misiones SPOT-4 y SPOT-5. El sensor recopila datos en tres bandas de VNIR (visible y de infrarrojo cercano) y una de SWIR (infrarrojo de onda corta).
