Multiple partners contribute to the app experience in Android for Cars: app developers, Google, and (for AAOS-based vehicles) vehicle OEMs.
The design role that each partner plays in creating the app experience depends partly on the type of app. Apps created with the Android for Cars App Library templates have a different partnership model than those with a more fixed UI (such as media apps) or those meant for parked and passenger use cases (such as video apps).
