On this date, while performing production pipeline expansion, we inadvertently
published a test package to the production
transparency log (index 39, with the entire entry cited below).
While this was a process error (which has since been patched), it provided an
unintentional but valuable audit of the log's immutability.
No entries in Android Binary Transparency logs can be rewritten — even to
correct honest mistakes.
Index 39 will remain in the log permanently, serving as a "canary in the coal
mine" that proves our append-only architecture functions exactly as promised.
