If you create CAP alerts in multiple languages (for example, French and English), we’ll display separate versions of the alert, one per language. Users whose devices are set to French will see the alert in French, while users whose devices are set to English will see the alert in English. At the moment, we don’t provide automatic translations of alerts. However, users can use website translators on the Google Public Alerts homepage at google.org/publicalerts to see your alerts in one of their preferred languages.
In addition, Google Chrome gives users an option to translate webpages directly in the Chrome browser.
To create a multilingual alert, create a single <alert>
containing multiple <info>
blocks. Use one <info>
block for each language.
