Google Maps Platform Last Mile Fleet Solution is a development toolkit for building applications to power first and last mile delivery fleets. The solution includes a variety of APIs and SDKs that you integrate into your applications for mapping, routing, and places functionality. It also includes a backend service to help orchestrate delivery journeys across drivers, consumers, and fleet operations teams.
Last Mile Fleet Solution offers the following capabilities:
Address Capture and Validation. The address capture and validation services provided with Last Mile Fleet Solution include the Places API, Address Validation API, and Geocoding API. Together, these services solve a number of common problems with delivery addressing: inaccurate address entry from consumers, undeliverable addresses, and the need for adjustments to point-of-delivery locations. These services can identify address components and validate them to help understand if an address refers to a real place.
Route Optimization. The Route Optimization capability in Last Mile Fleet Solution is a toolkit that incorporates Routes API, Routes Preferred API, Directions API, and Distance Matrix API. It offers enterprise-level features that solve the problem of finding the optimal order for drivers to complete their tasks.
Driver Routing & Navigation. The Driver Routing and Navigation capability is a Last Mile Fleet Solution toolkit comprised of two SDKs: the Navigation SDK and the Driver SDK. It provides enterprise-level features that embed the Google Maps experience into your driver application.
Last Mile Fleet Solution includes access to relevant Google Maps Platform products, as well as to the following components, which are specifically tailored to delivery use cases.
