REST Resource: conversations.events

  • An Event in a conversation between an agent and a user has a JSON representation with fields for name, eventType, and representative.

  • The eventType field is an enum defining the type of agent event such as typing started/stopped, or representative joining/leaving.

  • The representative field provides details about the human or chatbot sending the event.

  • An event can be created in a conversation using the provided create method.

Fields
name

string

The name of the event, as set by Business Messages. Resolves to "conversations/{conversationId}/events/{eventId}", where {conversationId} is the unique ID for the conversation and {eventId} is the unique ID for the event.
eventType

enum (EventType)

The type of the event.
representative

object (Representative)

Details about the representative (human or chatbot) that sent the event.
