Nel seguente tutorial mostreremo come creare un feed in formato JSON utilizzando la definizione dei buffer di protocollo di Google (protobuf). Utilizzeremo il compilatore protobuf per generare il codice sorgente in base allo schema protobuf. La creazione di un feed utilizzando il codice sorgente generato fornisce un'interfaccia semplice e impedisce la creazione di entità feed con nomi o tipi di campi errati.
Configurazione del progetto
- Crea una nuova directory del progetto.
- Copia i contenuti di offer.proto money.proto dayofweek.proto timeofday.proto date.proto dalle definizioni proto come nuovi file nella directory root del progetto.
- Installa il compilatore protoc
Per generare il codice sorgente dai file .proto, è necessario il compilatore protoc. Scarica l'ultimo binario precompilato dalla pagina delle release di GitHub di Protocol Buffers.
Estrai il file zip e aggiungi il percorso binario alla variabile di ambiente PATH, ad esempio:

Genera codice sorgente
Python
- Installa la libreria Python protobuf
pip install protobuf
- Genera il codice sorgente del client.
Crea la directory di output proto: generated
protoc --python_out=./generated offer.proto money.proto dayofweek.proto timeofday.proto date.proto
Aggiorna la variabile di ambiente PYTHONPATH in modo che includa il percorso generato, ad esempio:
