We Have Rebranded

The Reserve with Google Partner Portal is now rebranded as the "Actions Center" and we have revamped our developer site to go along with it.

Why are we rebranding the Partner Portal?

The Reserve with Google Partner Portal is now used by partners to manage more than just "reservations-related" Google integrations (ex: ordering, appointments, healthcare, etc.). In the last few years, our Partner Portal has evolved to accommodate the different integrations, but our branding has not. To provide a more coherent onboarding experience now and moving forward, we have decided to rebrand the Partner Portal to the "Actions Center", a vertical-agnostic brand that allows us to keep expanding the breadth of our integrations.

Why are we launching a new developer site?

Similarly to our Partner Portal, our developer site has grown to include many more integrations since the launch of our initial Dining and Beauty integrations. In a continuous effort to make it easier for our partners to onboard, we’ve reorganized our developer site so that integration documentation is appropriately grouped together while incorporating elements of the new rebrand. Our hope is that the new structure will make it easier for our partners to integrate with us and understand what policies apply to their specific integration.

What is changing?

  • Our Partner Portal domains, references, and logos have been changed to "Actions Center".
  • Some of our integration names have also been changed to better reflect the nature of the integration and to drive consistency across our multiple surfaces. The technical requirements of the integrations remain unchanged. You can see the new integration names here:
Old Integration Name New Integration Name
Food Ordering End-to-End Ordering End-to-End
Food Ordering Starter Ordering Redirect
Menus Menus
Dining End-to-End Reservations End-to-End
Dining Starter Reservations Business Link
Dining Waitlist Reservations Waitlist
Beauty/Fitness/Financial End-to-End Appointments End-to-End
Appointments Booking Appointments Redirect
Beauty/Fitness/Financial Starter Appointments Business Link
Healthcare Appointments Healthcare Appointments
Local Services Ads End-to-End Local Services Ads End-to-End
  • The developer site’s domain is changing and the site has been reorganized to be integration-specific and incorporate elements of the new rebrand.

What is NOT changing?

  • Our consumer/merchant-facing products (ex: Reserve with Google, Order with Google, etc.) will still exist and are not changing.
  • None of the integrations themselves or their onboarding requirements are changing as part of this rebrand.
  • Although the new developer site will have our policies reorganized visually for each integration, the policies and agreement terms applicable to each integration remain the same.

What does this mean for you?

No action is required from you as part of this rebrand and your integrations are unaffected.

Your current technical integrations are unaffected by this change. You will notice the rebrand implemented on both the Partner Portal and developer site, but it will not affect any data you have in the Partner Portal or on Google surfaces today. There will also be no impact to your merchants or users.

Please continue to manage your existing integrations or onboard new integrations in the Partner Portal the same as you did before. Please save and share the new domains, however, the old links will still work and redirect you accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Reserve with Google and the Actions Center?

Reserve with Google is the merchant-facing, consumer-facing product that allows consumers to make reservations and book appointments with merchants. The Actions Center is the partner-facing portal that partners use to manage their integration(s). The integrations managed in the Actions Center can be Reserve with Google integrations, Order with Google integrations, or others.

What impact, if any, will this rebrand have for merchants and users?

The Actions Center is not merchant or user-facing and the rebrand will have no impact on your integration. As such, there will be no impact for merchants and users.

Will the rebrand affect my current integrations?

The rebrand will not affect your current integration. Only the name of the Partner Portal and the integrations are changing, but the technical aspects of the integration remain the same.

Will I need to create a new account for the new Partner Portal?

No, you will not. Your existing account will remain the same and will still be used to login to the Partner Portal.

What are the benefits of the new developer site?

The new developer site is reorganized to have individual pages for each integration. Although we have not made any changes to the content yet, this reorganization should make it easier to understand what each integration entails and what policies apply.
