Tech Writing for Accessibility

  • This course focuses on creating accessible documentation and websites for everyone, including people with disabilities, by incorporating inclusive design principles and best practices.

  • It's offered in two formats: a 90-minute instructor-led workshop and a self-study version, both covering similar accessibility content.

  • Google provides materials for in-house sessions and occasionally offers free public sessions, with more information on the facilitator resources and announcements pages.

  • The target audience includes engineers, product/program managers, technical writers, and anyone involved in document creation or review.

  • Upon completion, participants will gain skills in inclusive design, writing alt text, color contrast checking, accessible diagram creation, and error detection in documents.

This format is a 90-minute instructor-led workshop, featuring a lot of student exercises and class discussion.
