The Google Fusion Tables API v1 has been deprecated as of May 3rd, 2016. The API will continue to work until August 1st, 2017, and will shut down on that date. A migration guide is available outlining the steps to take to migrate to v2.

Representation of a table column, specifies the ID, name and type.

Property name Value Description Notes
baseColumn object Optional identifier of the base column. If present, this column is derived from the specified base column.
baseColumn.columnId integer The ID of the column in the base table from which this column is derived.
baseColumn.tableIndex integer Offset to the entry in the list of base tables in the table definition.
columnId integer Identifier for the column.
kind string The kind of item this is. For column, this is always fusiontables#column.
name string Required name of the column. writable
type string Required type of the column. Type can be "NUMBER", "STRING", "LOCATION", or "DATETIME".

Deletes the column.
Retrieves the specified column's name and type.
Adds a new column to the table.
Retrieves a list of the specified table's columns.
Updates the name or type of an existing column. This method supports patch semantics.
